COPO initiated a Health Benefits Program due to findings that in NYC alone 1.2 million people are reportedly uninsured and more than 50% out of them are eligible to get public health insurance (Medicaid, Family Health Plus. Child Health Plus). The objective of this program is to get uninsured people health coverage, obtain full benefits that there are entitled to. Our staff has been intensively trained by CSS to help the community understand Medicaid, Medicare, Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, commercial insurance. In addition how managed care works, and how to get your health plan to work for you.
