Family Empowerment

The FEP is one of most important COPO programs. It was created to provide comprehensive services to families affected by domestic violence. COPO recognizes there are many complex factors which influence the incidence of violence in intimate relationships, several of which may include traditional gender role expectations, immigration status, economic situations, bias, social isolation, and cultural assimilation. At COPO’s Family Empowerment Program, we have created services to respectfully and sensitively respond to the needs of multi-cultural and multi-lingual clients who have experienced domestic violence.  Those seeking assistance can expect to receive confidential services from our culturally-competent trained staff.
